“Come on please Rythian! Fiona’s sick and I don’t want to waste the tickets!” Zoey begged the mage who was working on his arcane table. The man rolled his eyes.
“Zoey I told you I’m not interested in this DJ or whatever it is” He said moving to grab more components.
“I told you their called The Fool and please! Almost everyone from Tekkittopia is going! It’ll be good for you to get out and about” He looked and glared at her for a second.
“What about him? I’m not going if he’s going to be there”
“Uh no he’s not his apprentice Kim said he didn’t like the music. Also she said something about him working on a project. We started talking at the ticket booth and had a good laugh about how you two are the same just with different interests.” Zoey smiled seeing the man flinch slightly. He seemed to think for a second.
“Ok ok I’ll go with you. Do we have to leave soon?” the girl looked at the sky to see what time it was.
“Oh yeah like now! Let’s go Rythian! I don’t want to miss their song Dota this time!” she said quickly grabbing the man’s sleeve dragging him away from his work and the camp in general. It didn’t take long for them to reach the place. It looked to be a recently constructed stadium in the middle of the desert. Rythian could already hear the techno music that was playing and figured it was a way to get everyone excited for the concert. It certainly was working with Zoey who squealed as they made it past the guards.
“This is from their first album Mage! Oh I love this song!” she said excitedly dragging him farther in. Rythian frowned slightly as they found a place to stand near the middle. “Hey Kim!” Zoey called over the music.
The ravenette turned to see they were right next to each other, “Oh hey Zoey! Oh and Rythian…strange to see you here”
“Yeah Fiona got sick so I dragged him here. He’s never even heard The Fool’s music!” Rythian wanted to respond but the background music quieted down. There was the booming sound of Ridgedog’s voice that hushed the talking crowd.
“Alright ladies and gentlemen put your hands together and welcome The Fool!” Rythian watched as the curtain hiding the stage raised. There stood a figure with black hair and a mask covered in science tools. He seemed too clothed in Black mage robes that shimmered purple as he raised his arms. The crowd erupted with applause. He lowered his arms and the music started. Rythian blinked as the man started to sing:

Rythian frowned slightly as the techno enhanced voice sounded vaguely familiar somewhere. The music started to gain momentum and the man continued.

The man on the stage started to dance as he created the music. “I don’t understand!” Zoey called over the music.
“What’s that?” Kim asked starting to dance along.
“He’s never started with a love song before! Especially one specifically dedicated to the Mage!”
“You know you’re right! But did you know Ridge knows who’s behind the mask. In fact he designs them for The Fool!”
“Are you serious? So maybe the one he’s singing to is here tonight. I can’t believe The Fool’s Mage is here among us!” Rythian went to respond but the man had started to sing again and something kept draw his attention to the strange man on stage.

Rythian blinked slightly starting to move to the music. He could have sworn the singing man had made direct eye contact with him. He highly doubted it but something made him more curious about this character.

Zoey cheered loudly as the song came to an end. Rythian spoke up, “What did you mean by the Fool’s Mage?” She looked at him and smiled brightly.
“Oh right this is your first time listening to him. Just wait! He always does his dedication after the first song.” Rythian just looked confused as the man put on basic beats looking out to the crowd. Faintly Rythian could see a large smile on his face.
~*~ Earlier that night behind the curtain ~*~
Lalna walked around the equipment. His black wig skewed slightly letting his blond hair to peak through. He was already dressed in the mage robes, the new mask sitting aside waiting for him. He started to play one of his cd as he heard the crowd talk outside of his own world.
“Hey Lalna another packed house tonight” the man looked up to see Ridge walk up to him.
“Well did you do your rounds before the show?” he asked his heart pounding in his ears. He’d asked this question every night since he started this whole charade.
“Yep and it’s time Fool. He’s out there. Time for plan Mage!” Lalna smiled even brighter readjusting the equipment pulling up a different set of songs on his laptop.
“Alright let me get straightened up and we’ll be ready to go. The sign to start is when I turn off the background music.” He said putting the wireless microphone in his ear before fixing the black wig. Ridge just smiled and nodded moving to take his seat in the sky.
~*~ Current time on the stage ~*~
Lalna had spotted Zoey and Kim right after the curtain had risen. And there he stood next to them. He messed with his voice on his computer before raising his hand to them; “Hello Tekkittopia!” the crowd erupted. “Tonight I guess is special. This is for all the couples out there and more specifically for one person I know is out there!” he called out. “I dedicate this performance just like all my others to the one I call my Mage! I lost them long ago and I was the Fool…” he paused as everyone started to cheer again. “And Mage if you’re here tonight I want to say sorry for every bad thing this fool did in his life.”
Lalna paused slightly collecting his thoughts, “Now then this song is my way to say I’m sorry. If you can relate then join in and let’s get this party going!” he finally called out. The cheering erupted as he started the song and everyone recognized it. He met Rythian’s eyes and smiled his heart beating even faster than before.

Lalna watched as Rythian danced slightly to his music seeming to talk to Kim and Zoey. ‘Oh man I wish I could hear what he was saying’ he thought getting the music going for the next song.
